Friday 14th September 2012: Ira Lightman
Following a successful launch of Wurm in its new home at Project Slogan, the first full performance of the autumn is by Ira Lightman.
Ira Lightman is a conceptual poet, making public art with text, often working with communities, and also makes conceptual pieces for BBC Radio 3's The Verb. He comes up with unusual forms and concepts, as open to anyone else’s use as his, often acting as curator and editor; to mediate poetry and text art, as much as write it. Recent publications include Mustard Tart as Lemon (Red Squirrel 2011), Phone in the Roll (Knives, Forks and Spoons Press, 2011) and Duetcetera (Shearsman 2008).
He also plays ukelele and writes a killer middle eight.
